5 Way's To Celebrate Valentine's Day For Kids

Good Afternoon guys,

I hope everybody is having a great start to the week

Can you believe it is the 1st February?

February is the month of love, so it is only right we base today's blog around Valentine's day.

Valentine's Day is a special opportunity to show our appreciation to those we love. Grown-ups are very familiar with the holiday. But, Valentine's for children may be completely new. To help them understand the meaning behind this love-filled day we've compiled some fun activities for them to grasp the idea of Valentine's Day. Who knows, the special traditions you introduce to your children, they might go on to use these on the person they go on to love and adore.

We have come up with five activities to get your little one involved in this years Valentine's Day fun.

1. Make Memorable Meals

Create traditional dishes that your little ones will love to make year on year on Valentine's Day. Here are some scrumptious meals to get you thinking:

  • For a delicious breakfast option you can make some heart-shaped French Toast. Get some heart shape cookie cutters, some bread, serve with berries and sprinkle with some powdered sugar. Do you not have time for this? Why not make some heart shape toast with some strawberry jam.
  • For dinner why not make a berry delicious smoothie? Mix with a variety of red fruits as it will look perfect for Valentine's Day. Or you can even make a healthy heart-shaped fruit platter.
  • For your evening meal. This is a firm favourite every single year with my children. Why not make heart shaped pizzas? They are super easy to make, it gets the whole family together and it is truly a memorable experience full of smiles and laughter. All you need is: to practise your pinch, choose your favourite dough, pizza sauce and toppings and maybe a little apron to keep your little one all clean.

If the prospect of mess or staining of clothes is worrying you we have the perfect solution with our personalised aprons. An apron, a simple piece of cloth that makes a difference. People have always taken it for granted, yet this is an effective safety device during cooking. Shop our personalised apron collection here:
